I’m pleased to announce that the Bass Centre/Bass Collection have started selling the Neil Murray Snakebite bass, which is a recreation of the bass that I have perhaps used the most during my career, including with Whitesnake, Black Sabbath, Peter Green Splinter Group, Colosseum II, We Will Rock You and more. It went through many modifications over the years but this Snakebite model is a version that I’m proud to endorse.
Check it out at:

Note that the bass is only available direct from the website. The colour choices of Maple or Ebony of course refer to the fretboard, not the body.
Mr. Murray
I have ordered a Snakebite with an ebony neck and I hope I made the right choice. I am expected to receive the bass next Friday and I want to say that I am very curious and happy with this purchase
Have a good day

Hi Johnny,
I hope the bass is what you’re looking for, sound-wise and playing-wise. Good luck!

Mr Murray
Then I have received my Snakebite bass. Playability and sound are great and it doesn’t matter that it looks good too
Have played a few different basses but now I’m home. This will be my first choice my workhorse.
Thanks for a great instrument and a nice welcome from Bass Centre, London.
With kind regards
Johnny Dikermyr, Sweden
what a classy solo from the master M3
I received my maple necked Snakebite bass yesterday after lusting after one for a long time. To try it out, I played along to Whitesnake Live In The Heart Of The City and it did not disappoint. It’s a dream to play and at home volume levels sounds awesome. The available variations in tone are superb. I’ll be playing it at a gig in a fortnight then at a festival the following day. Can’t wait to see how it sounds at proper levels 🙂 The days of my Fender Precision being my go-to bass are over.
